Few new things I’ve added since studying for shelf exams. Above is the PDF. This is the way these pictures are intended to be used. So you can zoom in to see small text. But I figured I would share the pages as photos as well so you can see what’s in the study guide before you download it.
How do lymphocytes work aka B-Cells and T-Cells? Their journey from the bone marrow to the lymph nodes and how they mature. The different parts of the lymph nodes and what cells do there. How they shuffle their VDJ genes in order to make the hyper variable regions of their receptors. The different types of immunoglobulins and what they can do (IgM, IgG, IgA, IgD and IgE.) How the MHC Class I and II receptors form and offer up antigens on a silver platter for other cells to recognize.
During my dedicated Step 1 study time I had to get a wisdom tooth pulled. So for a few days I decided I couldn’t study properly and instead made a list of all the stupid little cytokines and cell surface proteins but in numeric order. Like IL1 IL2 IL3 / CD1 CD2 CD3 etc. I kept getting those wrong because I couldn’t remember which did what. Hope these help.
